Can you explain how the contact roles work from friends? i am trying to share something with my friends privacy group and i believe that group includes hubzilla support? I am trying to work this out, i am going to be reading documentation in the meanwhile i haven't fully understood such things with hubzilla yet.

I suspect that you are confusing contact roles and privacy groups.

Contact roles are whitelists for certain permissions that you can assign to contacts from your connections.

However, your question sounds more like you have created a privacy group (‘i am trying to share something with my friends privacy group’) that includes your friends. If you post something in this group, the posting will be distributed exclusively to all connections you have in this group.

If you use the privacy group ‘Friends’ without having changed anything, and which is always available by default, the posting will go out to everyone you have in your connections.
Note: If you generally want to post publicly, the ‘Post to this group by default’ switch must be switched OFF for the privacy groups. If it is switched on for a PG, then every posting will only be sent to the connections in this group, as long as you do not change the permissions.
